I work with people to inspire and reach their personal health and wellness goals by providing personalized coaching and mentoring. Think of me as a coach just like any other, but my focus is your health and wellness. I will teach you everything you need to know, but at the end of the day, the buck stops with you. If you are truly ready, a coach can be the perfect catalyst and ally to spur on your transformation.
“organic”, “low-fat”, “low-carb”, “high-protein”, “let’s go on cleanse”, “high fructose corn syrup”, “antioxidants”, “green-juice”, “vegan”, “farm-raised”, “GMO”, “gluten-free”, “fish oil”, “milk is good for you”, “milk is bad for you”, “I’m going Paleo”, “Don’t eat fruit”, “Eat fruit”, “Don’t eat meat”, “Eat meat”, “Eat 6 smaller meals throughout the day”, “Never eat a banana”….
YIKES!!! Enough already! Let us step back… if I took one glance at these rules I would go running away and never look back. It is no wonder people are so confused, stressed out, and frustrated. It is not surprising that our country has seen a rise in chronic diseases (heart disease, obesity, cancer, and Type II diabetes) ravage our country, now more than ever, with few signs of slowing down. It’s rare for anyone to get an hour to work on their nutrition and goals with a trained professional. Think about it. The majority of the population sees their doctor for under ten minutes per visit. At best, you may hear “You know, if you worked on your diet and exercise, you might be better off.” But where does that leave you? On your own, and usually, the advice goes in one ear and out the other!

I have studied all the major dietary theories and use practical lifestyle coaching methods to guide you in discovering which approach works best for you. Most approaches to nutrition dwell on calories, carbs, fats, proteins. Instead of creating lists of restrictions and good and bad foods, I coach my clients to create a happy, healthy life in a way that is flexible, fun and free of denial and discipline. What this means is that you can still have your ice-cream, (Grin) on occasion. Have you ever received good advice that you were unable to follow?
